Courtney Connery, LCAT

Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, & more.
I have helped countless individuals manage and overcome some of the most common yet pervasive mental health struggles. It is my goal to de-stigmatize and, when appropriate, de-pathologize these issues and tackle them through a lens of compassion and transparency.
What can I help you with?
Here are some areas I have helped my patients navigate:
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
ADHD
-
Stress
-
Grief
-
Life Transitions
-
Relationship Issues
-
Autism
-
Social Anxiety
Everyone will face mental health challenges at some point in their lives. I consider it a part of my job to normalize this. Why? Because it is a natural part of the human experience and not something we should hide or deal with on our own.

Some of these issues arise from circumstance such as stress or grief. Some stem from our past experiences or trauma. Some come from being neurodivergent in a world designed for neurotypicals. I'm here to help you access the roots of your struggles and develop ways to cope, ways to accept, and ways to learn from them.

I tailor my approach according to each individual's needs. Need concrete change? Let's find the tools to do that. Need a safe space to process your feelings? I can offer you positive regard and empathetic understanding.

Here are some methods I utilize:
-
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to address unhealthy, distorted, or negative thought patterns which disrupt our thinking and functioning.
-
Art Therapy to express emotions in a nonverbal way, to practice mindfulness, and as a healthy outlet for our feelings.
-
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to learn acceptance of emotions, mindfulness, and identify values in order to enact positive change.
